Am I a product of my environment?

That's a question that requires a little more than a simple yes or no.  So, in this post I'm going to share my take on this timeless question.
Personally, I feel that everyone is influenced by there surroundings. The experiences you've had are what mold your perception of the world.  I don't want to get all psychological on you but take a second and think about it.  This is the reason why democrats and republicans will never see eye to eye.  Neither are wrong on there views, there just seeing them from different places.
I once heard my favorite motivational speaker Jim Rohn say, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." Think about who those five people are for you.  Are they successful?  Are they happy?  Are they where they want to be in life?  The good thing about life is that we have a choice.  Everyday is a chance to start fresh.  If you don't like the environment your in, change it.  If you can't physically change your environment you have to change your mindset until you can.
"Live everyday as if you're where you want to be, then when you get there you'll be experienced" -Jot Lyfe
